Create an Assignment

We recommend keeping assignments short – people better retain information when they receive it in “bite-sized” chunks. We typically find that when team administrators use shorter assignments, team members remain better engaged, more quickly improve their understanding, and enjoy more opportunities to practice what they’ve learned via review questions at the end of the assignment.

  • To get started, log in and open your     Admin Tools.
  • On the Assignments tab, click “Create New Assignment” and give it a name.
  • In the “Lessons” column, click “Add” to add lessons to your assignment, then click “Add/Remove Lessons.”
  • Use the additional menus to identify courses for the software and version (year) you and your team use.
  • Click the drop-down arrows next to the course and lesson names to select lessons to assign. Each lesson states how long it is and how many review questions will be included at the end of the assignment (up to 25 questions). Concept based course commercial
  • Lessons are automatically saved once selected. Hit “Go back” to preview the assignment.
  • Hit “Go back” again to return to your list of assignments. You can see the name, duration, and number of lessons included in the assignment. You can also see the answer key for the review questions that will be added to the end of this assignment.
  • You must add the assignment to a group to give your team access.

  • When estimating how much time it will take your students to complete an assignment, a good proxy is to double the video duration. For example, if you create a 10-minute assignment, it will likely take your students about 20 minutes to finish it because they will pause, rewind, and rewatch the lessons, work on hands-on exercises, and complete Review Tests.
